Finance Officer
Andrew assists in the recording and management of the finances of the charity. He reports to the Head of Finance & Operations. Alongside his co-Finance Officer, Andrew prepares the annual budget, internal management accounts, the monthly payroll and the annual financial accounts for the charity’s members and regulators. Also, Andrew’s duty is to ensure that the charity complies with the requirements of its two regulators.
Andrew has been for many years, and still is, involved with the Age UK charitable movement as an employed Finance Officer. Previously, he worked in London handling the taxation affairs of his employer’s clients. Andrew commenced his working life assisting on the audits of small and medium-sized companies.
Andrew holds an accountancy qualification, gained by a combination of practical experience and examination.
